Nagasaki Stadium City — unlocking lockers from the official app

Nagasaki Stadium City, one of the largest private-sector stadium projects, is driven by the Japanet Group. In a locker selection where operating from the official app was a must, the KEYVOX Smart Locker was chosen. Deployed at scale across the venue, visitors can complete everything from payment to unlocking within the app.

  • API integration with the official app completes everything from payment to unlocking in-app
  • A single control box, controlling multiple doors via the cloud
  • Flexibly configured locker sizes and features for each location

The KEYVOX locker's biggest strength is its flexible software features. Because features can be added or changed on the software side to fit business requirements, customizing for the operation and environment is easy.

KEYVOX Smart Lockers at Rentio GO Tokyo Dome-mae

Same-day rentals you can pick up and return on event day — Rentio makes it happen with the KEYVOX Smart Locker

Rentio, a rental service for home appliances and camera gear, normally ships items to customers' homes or hotels, and binocular rentals started at 3 nights / 4 days. Responding to requests to rent "for a short time at a lower price" and "more casually", it opened "Rentio Tokyo Dome-mae supported by Kenko Tokina" in front of Suidobashi Station. With "Rentio GO", a new system built on the KEYVOX Locker API, customers can pick up and return image-stabilized binoculars on the spot, right near the concert venue.

“KEYVOX is seriously amazing, so we're going to keep adding more!”

Self-service PC handover at any hour — IT company A in Tokyo, onboarding hundreds of employees every month

At IT company A in Tokyo, hundreds of new employees join every month. PC provisioning for new hires, on top of PC replacements for existing staff, made handovers at the IT support desk extremely demanding. With the KEYVOX Smart Locker, employees request a PC through the workflow; once it is ready, a QR code for unlocking arrives through the workflow, and they simply take it to the locker.

“Employees used to have to come by during support desk hours. Now they can pick up at any time, and they love it.”

Same-day video equipment rentals, around the clock — APEX RENTALS Tokyo Chuo

APEX RENTALS Tokyo Chuo rents cameras and filming equipment for video production. Film crews work irregular hours such as early mornings and late nights, so 24-hour handover is essential. With the KEYVOX Smart Locker, same-day rentals that used to be limited to orders placed by 4 p.m. became available at any time, and face-to-face lending and returns are no longer needed. Inventory turnover improved significantly, and managing lending and return history in the cloud made rental status visible.

“In our industry, 24-hour operation was a must.”

Front desk of Y&Y NAMBA HOTEL Osaka

Handing over physical room keys with brand-colored lockers — Y&Y NAMBA HOTEL Osaka

Y&Y NAMBA HOTEL Osaka adopted smart lockers colored to match the hotel's brand image. The lockers were custom-designed for the small physical keys used in its guest rooms, making good use of limited space while improving convenience. The deployment gave shape to the hotel's wish to "let guests check in without stress" and "reduce the front desk's workload to provide better service".

“Both the design and the size turned out ideal, and operation is smooth.”

Front desk of UNPLAN Fukuoka

Pre-check-in linked with suitcase storage — UNPLAN Fukuoka

The hostel UNPLAN Fukuoka introduced KEYVOX Smart Lockers and smart locks together, and runs a check-in system of its own that works with them. Like boarding a flight, guests check in and pay in advance, then go straight to their rooms without stopping at the front desk. They can also drop their suitcases in the locker room first and head out sightseeing, and after check-out they can use the same PIN to access their luggage freely for the rest of the day. Front desk work dropped significantly and guest satisfaction rose.

“Even compared with the world's top hostels, we've come close to our ideal operation.”

I'd like to talk it through for my own operation

We'll bring case studies from a similar industry. Let's start by aligning on how the operation would look.
